I stay in solitude because it’s where I’m most comfortable being me. I love spending time by myself because I know I’m a safe place. I don’t have to worry about being judged or manipulated or mistreated. I just have to worry about me.

It’s been huge. Being in solitude for so long. I purposefully separated myself from outside people so I wouldn’t interfere with their lives while I work on me. But, I realized in that, I love being alone. I never feel lonely. I feel at peace. And that’s big.

I miss him. I do. But, at the same time I know that the choice I made was what was best for me.

I love him. I’m in love with him, but sometimes love doesn’t conquer all. Sometimes love isn’t enough. Sometimes love hurts instead of helps.

I will always love him. He will always hold a special place. He will always be the one. But, I need to work on me before I let anyone in. Before I let anyone so close.

I can honestly say I’m in love with this man. I want to spend the rest of my life with this man. He makes me so happy. He makes me so proud. He’s everything I could ask for and then some….

I came across a video that I took while fucking wasted at the bar. I was with my boyfriend at the time.

Backstory: Him and I went to middle school together and I liked him. A lot. But I didn’t realize it was love. After middle school, we didn’t talk. Lived our own lives. Every once in a while I’d think of him. I’d wonder where he was, what he was doing. Then boom, like a fucking bus, he was there. I felt the same way I did in middle school when I looked at him. He filled me with so much joy. He was/is my everything. He’s my life partner.

We’re no longer dating, not really friends either. It sucks, but I understand. It’s been hard to come to terms with, but I have to a degree.

Anyways, this is all besides the point. In this video I pinpointed the moment I realized I was in love with this man. This man that I’ve wanted unknowingly since middle school.
